WORKING BARISTA TRAINING (Tailored Course for WGC)

The objective is to provide Wellington Girls' College with practical training that gives the girls employable skills. On completing the 4 week training they will receive a MOJO Barista Certificate and written reference to explain the training provided.

Espresso equipment, how it works, troubleshooting. Grinder, adjustment and calibration. Espresso preparation, how’s and whys. Milk foaming, different types of milk and how to maximize texture. Full drinks menu, from the basic to the more obscure, how to make and describe. Multiple drink orders, maximizing use of the machine, queue control, working under time constraints. Machine Care and

Cleaning, how to clean and maintain coffee equipment.

Three courses are being run in 2016 please register your interest with Ms Caseley.

TRAINING TIMES

Two groups of 8  either 2 – 5 pm or 6 – 9 pm over 4 weeks.  Students must attend all four sessions.

Sorry since this is such a popular and expensive course  we require participants to contribute towards the cost.

City & Guilds Options (Add on)

Students may have the option of paying an extra $275 for a one day bridging course that would give them a City & Guilds Qualification. (World re-known qualification really good if going on a GAP year overseas and want to find employment).


Going to University after Y13?  - This is a great way to help fund your studies and off set your student loan working as a Barista. Make sure you are employable  - get some skills....
